FAQs

  • On top of providing customized workout programs, tailored to you and your health and fitness goals. A personal trainer ensures you are working with correct form, activating the correct muscles, and move you through your workout at the most optimal pace.

As a trainer, I truly care about my clients journey. We are motivators, accountability buddies, nutrition resource, educators, and friends. Your trainer will track your progress, and advance your program overtime to best serve you where you are at.

Support from a personal trainer can be especially valuable if you're new to exercise, have specific objectives, or need an extra push to stay consistent with your workouts.

  • During your first session with me as your coach, you can expect to take your first progress picture (if desired), we will record some basic stats and numbers, all while chatting about you and your goals with a trainer.

I want to get to know you, what you likes and dislikes (both in and outside of the gym).

I will lead you through a warm up and a series of movements, some body weight and some with light resistance. We will repeat some moves and practice basic movement patterns.

After about 40-50 minutes I will lead you through a cool down series and foam rolling moves specific to you.

Then you hydrate and focus on your nutrition, I will set you up with my favorite recovery tips and tricks.

Nothing too intense or crazy on day one, I will walk you through every step. If you have specific questions prior to your first session, always feel free to reach out!

  • If you are new to exercise but serious about taking that next step, I suggest resistance training at least three times a week. (If you are training in person once a week, recommend two add on remote program plans).

I provide cardio programming and guidelines for all personal training clients as well as accountability check in’s to keep you progressing in-between our scheduled sessions.

Personal training clients can also purchase ‘remote’ training plans specific to their progress and goals. I will share these programs through video formatting as desired.

  • I get it, life happens! If you need to reschedule your program for any reason at all feel free to reach out 48 in advance by email and 24 hours before by text. I would be happy to reschedule your session if possible or send supplemental remote plans in case of conflicting schedules.

I have vacation plans, how will that effect my training?

Give me a heads up that you will be out of town and I can schedule you in for either live virtual training or create vacation specific remote plans tailored to you. If you would prefer to pause your training for the duration of your trip, we will pick up where we left off upon your return.

  • I ask that all new clients make at least a three month commitment to personal training in order to allow time for results to show.

While our bodies are amazing and adapt quickly, it takes consistency to see physical or numerical changes. After three months of consistently following a progressive workout plan, clients are better able to see and feel the results of their efforts.

I personally reassess my clients once each month to ensure they are staying on track, we may adjust your program accordingly.

  • More times than not, the answer is YES!

Just make sure to be honest and open with your coach about your current fitness regimen and intensity levels.

Exercise burnout is very real and I want to make sure all of my clients are moving safely and at an appropriate intensity. Remember one of the main the goals with a trainer is consistency, we just want to make sure that remains possible with your schedule.

  • At Georgia’s Gym Co. We are focused on functional lifestyle changes for real people.

Fitness doesn’t have to be intimidating, and everybody is welcome here. Georgia’s is a safe space to pursue personal goals, no matter what they may be.

I believe that if we shift the narrative to focus on how we feel, mentally and physically, the way our bodies look will change as a byproduct. There is no better time and place to start than now.

  • Hi ! I’m Jamie, your certified personal trainer.

I am a 2021 graduate from Texas State University , where I attended college for 3.5 years. I consider myself a local San Martian (having lived here for the last 5 years).

Three years ago, I was the girl who thought her body was just ‘not athletically built.’

I was yo-yo dieting and exercising my whole life but never consistent. After hitting a mental health low and late in life ADHD diagnosis, I realized the importance of intentional movement to not only physical but my mental health.

I explored new routines, formats, and programs to turn my goals to reality and ended up pursuing my personal training certification in early 2022. I hope to share my love for movement and the confidence that feeling strong bring to all of my clients.

    Group Fitness Instructor:

Aside from personal training, I work at CycleBar as an indoor Spin instructor where I have my Indoor Spin Instructor Certification. CycleBar has shown me the importance of a fitness community and how exercise endorphins can bring people any backgrounds together. Something else I hope to bring to my clients and Georgia’s.

    More About my Certifications…
